Host & Team
Since June 2020, Rudolf Schuchter has been welcoming you as your host at Bergwiesenglück. With his passion for hospitality and his extensive experience, he will ensure that your stay will be unforgettable. Our dedicated team consists of experienced employees who look forward to offering you an incomparable stay. We understand the importance of personal service and always strive to exceed your expectations. Everyone is familiar with the region and is happy to share their knowledge of the fascinating surroundings, as well as offering insider tips to ensure you have a unique experience.
Architecture
Our twelve cosy chalets are inspired by the traditional and quaint Holzstadl in Tyrol, which presented an exciting challenge. The construction of these chalets is divided into three main segments: a solid base, a living and sleeping area in lightweight wooden construction with clean lines in the interior design, as well as a reinterpreted "traditional" wooden front that fulfils visual and solar protection functions.
Today, our chalets, like the Holzstadl, nestle effortlessly into the hillside and offer plenty of space and expansive views on three levels for relaxing holidays and unforgettable holiday moments.
History
Sometimes developments take longer than you would like. With the ground-breaking ceremony for our small mountain village in spring 2016, a dream came true. For many years, we thought about how nice it would be to share this special spot of earth with others, which laid the foundation for our heart's project.
At Bergwiesenglück we combine our passion for design, architecture, culture, originality, creativity and quality. Rough wood, honest and local materials and loving details, such as the mountain meadow hay on the ceiling, are an expression of closeness to nature and harmonises with the landscape. An homage to the neighbouring hay barns, which provided an inspiration for the conception of our mountain village.
We have always been fascinated by simple, original and good things. We therefore appreciate products that have been made so carefully and well that they last a very long time. We want our guests to experience a place, where luxury lies in the quality of the details.
After almost 1 ½ years of construction, our boutique hotel opened in September 2017 and offers since then unforgettable experiences, at any season.
